What we do

Everything a small business needs from an accountant. Nothing it doesn't.

Clear scope, honest pricing, and books you can make decisions with. Pricing is published because we aren't afraid of our competitors.

Monthly Bookkeeping

Transactions categorized, every bank, card, and loan reconciled, adjusting entries, financial statements, and sales tax compliance when you need it.

Book Cleanup

The specialty of the practice. Behind on your books, mixing personal and business, or inheriting a mess from the last bookkeeper. It all gets fixed.

Fractional CFO

A finance department without the hire. Everything in monthly plus payroll, receivables, payables, cash flow guidance, and strategic tax planning.

Quarterly Bookkeeping

For owners who don't need statements every month but refuse to fall behind. Same rigor, quarterly rhythm.

Business and Personal Tax

Partnership and S corporation returns from $550. Sole proprietor and personal returns from $250. A real meeting included when you want one.

Setup, Training and Strategy

QuickBooks and payroll setup, business startup filings, 1099 prep, tax notice resolution, S corp analysis, and coaching if you'd rather run it yourself.

Monthly bookkeeping starts at fifty dollars, because every business should have an accountant.

Jasmine Johnson · Owner, Aurora Accounting

Why Aurora

An accountant who treats your books like they're her own.

Aurora Accounting started the way a lot of good practices do: a friend needed his books untangled, and Jasmine untangled them. Today it's a growing practice built on the thing most owners never get from their accountant, someone who actually explains what the numbers mean.

✓Real credentials. Bachelor's in integrated studies with a post-baccalaureate minor in accounting, a day job at a public accounting firm, and the CPA exam in progress with licensure expected in 2027.
✓Honest pricing, published. Starting prices are on the site. Your exact quote comes from a short set of questions, not a pitch.
✓Small business only. No giant corporate clients competing for attention. Small and mid size businesses are the entire practice.
✓Local roots, national reach. Utah based, fully remote, working with owners across the country.

How it works

Three steps to books you can trust.

Tell me what you're working with

A short intake asks the same questions I'd ask on a call. Accounts, volume, software, and where things stand today. Five minutes, no obligation.

Because pricing follows complexity, your answers produce an honest number. No mystery retainers and nothing generic.

Hand it over

Cleanup first if you need it, then a monthly or quarterly rhythm. You get clean statements, answered questions, and your evenings back.

Questions owners actually ask

Straight answers.

How much does bookkeeping cost?

Monthly bookkeeping starts at $50 per month and scales with complexity, things like transaction volume, number of accounts, and sales tax filings. Quarterly starts at $125. Cleanup and consulting are $150 per hour. You'll have an exact number after the intake, before any work begins.

Do you only work with Utah businesses?

No. The practice is rooted in Utah and works with plenty of Ogden area businesses, but everything runs remotely and clients are all over the country.

Are you a CPA?

Not yet. Jasmine holds a bachelor's in integrated studies with a post-baccalaureate minor in accounting, works in public accounting, and is actively completing the CPA exam, with licensure expected in 2027. Bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation don't require a CPA license, and every engagement gets public accounting level standards. You'll never wonder who's actually doing your books, it's her.

What software do you use?

QuickBooks Online for the books and Gusto for payroll are preferred, but not required. If you're already set up on something else, you don't need to migrate, that's your call.

My books are a disaster. Where do I start?

With the cleanup. It's the specialty of the practice. Months behind, mixed personal and business spending, half set up software, all fixable. Then a monthly or quarterly plan keeps it from ever piling up again.

What don't you do?

C corporation returns, form 1120, and standalone payroll without a bookkeeping engagement. The practice serves small and mid size businesses exclusively, which is exactly why it serves them well.

Five minutes now. Clean books from here on.
